St Kilda is Melbourne’s very own St Tropez.

It is situated on one of the most picturesque points of the Bay a short distance from the city, and has an eclectic mix of beaches, fashionable boutiques, outdoor cafes stylish restaurants and late night bars.

There’s something for everyone whatever your age or interests. You can roller blade or bike ride along the beach , take a quiet stroll down the pier or around the fascinating streets.....

One of the most well known strips is Acland Street where you’ll find reminders of St Kilda from a bygone era. Following the Second World War, many Jewish migrants settled in St Kilda and nearby Elwood, and
Acland Street became a popular spot with its European cake shops and cafes. In between the trendy bars and ice-cream shops, you’ll still find that little touch of Europe.

St Kilda is also an architectural delight with significant buildings from every era from the Gold Rush to today. Numerous fantastic blocks of Art Deco apartments are also a feature. There are even more in the adjoining suburb of Elwood.

WHAT TO SEE

Around the corner from vibrant Acland Street is St Kilda's foreshore with palm-fringed promenades, historic buildings, sandy beaches, a marina, the St Kilda pier with an iconic kiosk and popular restaurants.
